Happy Birthday Euan - 4 Already!!!

Hard to believe it but Euan was 4 yesterday. Time has flown since he arrived and he is so grown up now, almost a big boy apart from a couple of things.

He got lots of presents - his most favourite so far is his Roary Silver Hatch Racing set, he loved that!




His sister joined in too and they had a nice time doing Wall-E Jigsaws before we went to school yesterday and then last night we had a party tea with a Spiderman Cake. I have an order for a car cake for the Party on Sunday - he has 15 friends and family coming plus lots of adults - should be fun and a challege as it is the first time that me and their dad and our new respective partners have been together!

Mead Open Farm

A lovely sunny day today as predicted and so off we headed to Mead Open Farm, after a couple of hours going to pick up Lucy and Euan and Olivia from their respective houses.



Tractors, Sheep, Cows and Shaggy's Play barn filled the day and all the children got on really well which was lovely.

Friday Hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally it is here, been a horrid week, yesterday was foul at work with me and OH nearly coming to blows - sad isnt is how two late nights can turn you into satan when you are 40 or on the verg!!

Took forever packing up bits for the kids this morning so that Lucy could have a teddy bear's picnic with her friend Freya in the afternoon and then I get a call from the nursery to tell me that Euan's already been picked up by his dad and I then find out that he has cancelled any need for Lucy to go to Freya's and that Freya is distraut, have sorted out an after school play for Monday instead but it was such a shame - both girls had been so excited about it and Lucy hasnt been out all week - bar to Asda as she has been staying with her grand dad. Oh well.

Tomorrow we are off to Mead Open Farm or Gullivers with Lucy, Euan and Olivia so that should make up for any boring time spent inside during the week, the sun is finally out so that bodes well for tomorrow.

Persuaded my OH to go out for a couple of drinks to tonight so weekend is looking good already.

Had some bad news about the School we want in Bovingdon, it can take Lucy but has no reception places left and as such Euan will not get a place, we have to sit down and think about how this affects things - do we move to Bovingdon when the kids will be in separate Schools or do we settle for somewhere in Hemel - why is life so complicated!!!!

Time to Think of Holidays....................

After the manic snowy weather last week and early this week it is good that it is finally Friday. I am sitting here in the sunshine of the afternoon and to be honest it is touch and go that I can keep my eyes open till 5.15!

Been a busy week in work - which has made a change, but today I have decided to take things a bit easier and to have a look at holidays.

Have been doing some research and not 100% sure that I like the look of a few of the suggested locations, one in particular I do love - but it is a matter of trying to get the OH to come around to my point of view. Something I think I will struggle with!!!

Weekend plans are still sketchy - apart from Sunday when we have a show in Hertford to go to. Olivia, Phil's daughter is in The Nutcracker and apparently it was 3 hours long in rehersals, will be interesting, sure Jake will drift off - sure I might :)

Lucy and Euan are off to their dads tonight and I have to make sure I get them at 7 on Sunday as he has his Valentines meal booked for then.

I am out for tea tonight though - it is Friday the 13th so I am hoping to have some good news too as there is something happening this afternoon which if it turns out the right way - will be wonderful. Keep your fingers crossed for us!! :)

A Long Time

Since I posted. Have been reading blogs again in the peace of my office at lunch time and it has prompted me to try and start blogging again.

Not much has changed really, house now off market, kids had a wonderful Christmas, and work has changed as I have my very own office now - which is pretty wonderful I have to say!!

We were recently hit by snow storms and all manor of horrible weather issues. Glad to say that the snow has melted on the roads now and all that is left is Ice. That isnt much better though as there were alot of accidents on the roads this morning.
