40 is coming

I remember thinking how scarey it would be to be 32 in 2000 and here I am 8 years later and due to be 40 tomorrow.

I never had a list of things I wanted to do or things I needed to achieve before reaching that milestone but to be honest the one thing I did want was to be thinner. I never reached my 11 stone target but I still lost just over 3 stone last year and I am happy with that for now - want to shift some more weight but think that until the house is finally sold I won't be able to give that goal my full attention.

We have a viewing tonight - I tidied the house like a mad thing yesterday, even left the garage open for the man to take a look inside so fingers crossed finally we may sell the house!!

Ashridge Forest

We went up to Ashridge Forest on Monday for a walk in the sunshine. We only took Lucy and Euan, Olivia was away for the weekend and Jake was out playing with his mates.

I have never been over to the forest but have heard about it as a friend at work, Nicky, takes her dog up there for walks.

It was a lovely day, we made a picnic and then picked the kids up from their dads, we even had an ice cream when we arrived.

We walked through the trees and Euan picked up every twig and branch going and made them into guns, the buggy was full of them by the end of the 45 mins we spent in the woods. He unfortunately sat down in a load of nettles, poor thing he did cry as he has never come across nettles before.

After our picnic lunch Phil took Lucy up the monument. I havent any pictures of what it looks like from the ground but looking at the view from the top I think I would have struggled to go up there with her - you can see Canary Wharf and Wembly on a good day apparently.

A New Start

This is my 4th attempt at blogging on a regular basis. It really is time that I sat down and wrote about all the good things that are happening to me now and try and focus on them when the bad times come along.

I am a single mum, with two fab children, Lucy 8 and Euan 3, I have a partner whom I also work with and he has 2 children too so together we are one very big but very happy family.

I split from my partner of 10 years in March last year and have been trying to sell our house for nearly a year, 31st May is the anniversary - look forward to that - NOT!

I have a great life but it is in two halves, I hope one day very soon that it will join into one, with the sale of the house and the chance to rent somewhere with my new man who is also I have to say the love of my life :)

I am going to upload some introductions over the week but for today I am just introducing

myself and my neice Millie. Together with my partner - in his favourite pose - sleeping. Millie is just over 4 months old and is such a cutie pie. Phil on the other hand is younger than me and considerably older than 4 months but I still love him to bits :)
