Still no Pictures

Still not able to post pictures. Which is frustrating as the biggest joy of having a Blog is being able to share pics of the kids and things we have been up to. I think tonight I may if I have time see if I can get around to sorting out posting from my laptop at home, time allowing, and as I have some new stamps and pens to play with it may not happen tonight!

A Long Time

Since I posted - due to being unable to upload any photos and feeling that without photos a blog page is just not the same!

Today I decided that even a paragraph would be worth writing even without pictures.

New house was moved into on the 17th of August, am still back and forth to my Luton house at the moment as the sale on that is going along at a backwards walking snails pace.

Trashed the side of my car - which I thankfully have had repaired, OH took two of the kids to see England and lots of other things have happened too!!!

Holidays..................

We went to Bognor for our Holiday this year - I have been wanting to post for ages but havent been able to as the Photo upload just wouldnt work - never thought about using my dell mini laptop DOH!!

Manic Sunday

We always have a busy weekend but recently they have been even busieras we try and sort my house out to put it back on the Market.

Phil worked himself into the ground Saturday and I wasn't far behind and as a result we have had a quiet but still busy Sunday.
The difference to the garden is amazing. Hopefully I will get agents round in a couple of weeks.

No Time

Even to post about Lucy's Birthday - now how bad is that! So rewind to 3rd of July for updates.

3rd July - TAKE THAT!

Phil bought me Take That tickets for my Christmas pressie - was really exciting and we set off to go there via our house, to measure up - which was great fun and I noticed that the house had the same tiles as my current house - must be meant to be :) as I love them and picked them myself.

Then we went to Ikea and did some planning shopping - ate Haddock Chips and Peas and headed for Wembley.

I have never been to a big concert before! But it was great - although I would have liked them to be a bit closer as they were very much like tiny little pin heads - but it was great, very good - very entertaining - not too hot - and once we sat down very comfy - standing is not something a 41 year old lady can do for too long when she is being pushed and bashed and jostled about!!

Saturday we did house things and Olivia went home for a BBQ which meant Phil and Jake and I just crashed and watched TV, we did watch a film but I had already seen it so I spent an age wrapping up presents.

Lucy's Birthday!!

She was at her dad's in the morning so we went to pick out a NEW SOFA! How exciting!!

We did find one we loved in DFS so we have ordered it - will post pictures once blogger decides to work - VISTA and blogger - don't get on!!

We only had cupcakes and presents for her - but she was happy with her DS and sat and played with it happily while Euan and Olivia argued over her Littlest Pet Shops!

Tut Tut

No posts for over a week again!

Been an odd week. Was full of good things but I didnt have the energy to take them in as I have been exhausted for most of it!

Lucy went to Dell Farm on a school residential trip - so I spent a lot of time and money getting together all the bits she needed. She skipped off quite happily on Monday and on Thursday I had a postcard to tell me she had made friends with a Turkey!!!

She came back yesterday(Friday) safe and sound and said she had missed me. Euan was desparate to see her Thursday but by Friday was playing it very cool!

I have spent most of the week feeling miserable - and being totally worn out - I think I need a week at home and someone to do the school runs for me - any takers?

On a positive note we found schools and got places for both Lucy and Euan in Hemel, Jake had a week at M&S which he seemed to really enjoy and this weekend Olivia is over. I am stuck in work at the moment but about to leave to recover Jake's Duvet from my washing machine and head back to my Hemel Home for he weekend!

I also ordered a 3G Iphone but no idea if I will get it - yet - I would say SHHHHH don't tell Phil - but A) I already told him and B) he reads this so if he didnt know he would now!

Thank Goodness

The trauma that was going on next last is about to come to an end. I won't go into detail but it was enough to make me doubt anything anymore. When you are questioned about anything to do with your children whom you love to pieces well it makes you feel very sad and upset.

Been a lovely week other than that - although we are all extremely tired. Jake and Phil came up Tuesday to see us, and Lucy, Phil and Jake played Game of Life.



Jake won - he always seems to and I think it is because Phil was talking to me and Lucy was messing and Jake was playing with the spinner a bit longer than he should have been on quite a few turns LOL, never mind - they all enjoyed it!

Last night Phil went to Quiz night and we watched the Footie. Got bored half way through though as they won 6-0 in the end! and Jake took over the remote. Lucy was up half way through the night and Euan woke up in a bad mood too. We were supposed to have Lucy's Cousin on a sleep over tonight but Lucy didnt feel well this morning when I sent her into school. Hope she is okay - I did give her Calpol but if I wasnt needed at work would have kept her off!!

Other than that we have a good weekend ahead planned. Friday Phil will be out till 7 or 8 and then Saturday we have a house viewing and then Alex's - which the kids just love!! Sunday back to the gardening! ARGH :)

Things to cheer us up

Been a hard weekend after a bad week - so I figured we needed reminding of how happy we are!! No words needed, we are one happy family!!!!

However, pictures as evidence below!

Little Pickle

After the horrid week I have had this week I arranged with my ex to pick up Euan from Nursery so I could see him for a bit. I wanted to see Lucy too and was happy because when Jamie came to pick up Euan from me she was with him too - still proudly showing off her new hair.

I always get to nursery and the other children shout at Euan "Euan your mummy's here" he always is engrossed in something or other and tonight he was playing hop skotch. But when he saw me he looked up and shouted "mummy" and ran over, we had our big cuddle and I felt much better.

I took him home and he sat on the side of the kitchen and played with a McDonalds toy that Lucy had forgotten to open. Then we sat in the hall way - one at each end and drove his roary and tin top cars up and down the carpet. He had a great time and I enjoyed being with him on my own for an hour - he never gets "me" time and I needed it this week.

Jamie and I had a chat about the problem while the kids ran about getting 100 things to take to their dads! and I shall try and not worry about it anymore. I just love them to bits and it as been a tough week.

Rushed home to see Terminator Salvation - reviews weren't great but I loved it and I think both Phil and Jake enjoyed it. Had to endure a 20 minute whittery phone call to Phil with a list of instructions and that just drives me mad!! But it is a new day today so although it is raining I shall try and enjoy it.

Lucy's New Haircut

I had to upload the image from my phone to get it up here - but it always comes out landscape!! LOL

Lucy had her hair cut yesterday - and here it is!! Great isnt it - she loves it and it is just what I wanted her to have!!

She was making food for her Littlest Pet Shops at the time - hence the playdoh on the table :)

Sunny Sports Day....................

Lucy had her Fun Day at the school today. She was in the Normans team along with her Cousin and I didnt get there for the begining but only missed 2 events of the 5!

She loves doing these sorts of things - she jumps up and down enthusiastically and really enjoys herself!! I took a few pictures - they were not wonderful but the picture of Lucy on her own is the best one because she is having her hair cut today so this will serve as a before picture and I shall post an after one tomorrow.

Things may be moving with the house problem too as we may be able to keep Phil's house and get a house as well. So things were looking up till a horrid meeting in the afternoon. I am not going to go into detail as it was not nice but I am glad it is over finally!

Been a while

since I blogged!

Had another wonderful weekend - went to Clacton and Jake came along with us. We sat on the beach and the kids played in the sand. We went on the pier and Euan plowed into all the passers by he could with his scooter!!

Had some awful news to contend with today about one of the kids - something totally blown out of all proportion - have to meet with someone tomorrow to sort it out but was very unhappy about it!!

Willen Lake and Tears and Climbing

We went to Willen Lake Monday, the sunshine was forecase but there was none till later in the afternoon.

They went on rides, they went on the swings and scootered along, we went on a tiny train and ate our picnic on the grass - it was a lovely day!

Then Phil took Lucy to the aerial walkway that they have by the lake, she was really keen and we tried to check if she would be okay - she said she would and was full of beans!

She got on and she cried all the way round, thankfully the pictures do not show that and to be honest after half an hour she was telling us what her favourite bit was and that next time she would go on with Jake and Phil and be fine!! LOL













Ice cream and a sit in the sun cured her from being upset - thankfully :)

Sunday - He's Back!!! Hurrah

Phil left Mauritius on Saturday night at 6.00 our time - 9.00 theirs! So I hadnt spoken to him all night - he texted me at 7.40 to say he was back and was going through passport control. I had been up half in and out of sleep from 5.30 and made myself get up to have a bath at 6.40, so when I had the text I was already half way back over to his house anyway.

He arrived at 9.15 and I was so happy to see him - I stuck my new head of hair over his balcony and called down to them. Had to go and help him carry his bags - although I wasnt a great help.

We had a good chat and catch up and he bought me some lovely perfume - Nina Ricci - Love - he said he picked it because of the name - ah! :)



Turns out it is the same perfume my sister had when she got married.

Anyway I really love it - smells fab so really pleased with that, he bought me a couple of lovely bracelets and also got the kids something each so they were really pleased to. Was just nice to have him back!!!!!

We went to see his mum and dad and then out for lunch at the Red Lion where we had some scrummy dinner, then later after a snooze - we were both worn out! We went to the pub that is within walking distance to sit in the evening sunshine and have a pear cider - we couldnt walk though as Phil has his leg all wrapped up.

Was such a treat to have a day on our own - not something we have anymore - we get Friday nights but a whole day!! Fabby :)

Being so organised we even did all the washing, put it out to dry, he sorted his case and by Sunday morning it was as if he never went away! :)

Time for Catch Up - Saturday

Was a day that I had planned for visiting my sister.

After a bit of a failed sleepover Friday night, thought the kids were going to be in a real foul mood Saturday but they were both as good as always. Dropped them to their dad at Dunelm LOL and then headed up the motorway to see my sister and Millie and Russell.

Traffic was bad because of the bank holiday but it wasnt too bad journey - had to stop for a can of Red Bull as always but got there by 1.15.

We shopped for a large amount of the day but we did walk to the industrial estate with the shops on. I had spent too much Friday so didnt buy anything much. Some funky pink tea towels for the kitchen, a green top for me, and some short cargo jean shorts for Euan.

We then went back to Emily's and I took some photos of Millie Moo :)



She wouldnt stand still so I didnt get many good shots - but I do love this one!



Then we headed off to Ikea and Asda, but as we wandered round Asda struggling to find anything that we liked it became more apparent that we really would never make it to Ikea. Emily and I decided that we would head to Yankee Burger and have a blow out - been really good and hadnt eaten all day bar some coco pops and a small cone!

We had lots and some was really nice and some wasnt so nice!!

I drove back at 8.45 but would never do that again - the road was full of loonies driving at 80 miles an hour in the middle lane and I found it really hard to see too!!!

Was a lovely day though - I topped it off by pouring Red Bull Cola into my shopping bags and having to wash clothes Saturday Night to be able to wear them Sunday!!

Second Entry.......Never Play Beach Volley Ball!!

Just had 2 emails from my lovely OH to tell me on the way to have an xray after tearing either his calf muscle or tendon!!

I was in pieces when I read the message, was talking to someone on the phone and then they were talking and I wasnt listening as the message - "I thought I would tell you I have to go to the hospital" - popped up on my screen!!

Have pinged a mail back and forward as I did think maybe he was taking the michael out of me - but no sadly not - he has torn something or other and will be in touch once it is assessed.

All I could think about when he mailed was, what if he doesnt come home on Sunday, what if he has to stay another week, and then I realise how much I love him and how I want him to come back RIGHT NOW!!!

Sure that muscles won't stop him flying - he has already said nothing will stop him coming home - hope that is coz he wants to see me - coz I really miss him right now and everything I am doing tomorrow, hair, clothes etc is for him when he gets back - want to snuggle him and cuddle him and be grateful that I found him.

Whoo Hoo It is Thursday

I say this purely for three reasons:

I have tomorrow off to go and get my hair cut

It is pay day tomorrow too and I have birthday money to spend on clothes

It is only 3 days till my gorgeous bloke comes back home and I cannot wait!!




He sent me this picture this morning and the first thing I thought about it was that I love his shorts but that top doesnt go LOL, I am so critical, love him to bits and I am willing the week to end but not wanting it to go too quickly as I want him to have a wonderful time!

Decided this morning though - no more holidays for a week for a while - miss him too much!!

Silly Milo has lost his collar - have to try and scrape some pennies together to get him another one - I can't have a naked necked cat wandering about.

The cats have been having a ball peeing in the bark we put down in the back garden - so much so that I think I will have to get a brush and brush it all back on before Phil gets back - he will be so annoyed.

Final BIG ANNOUCEMENT - Euan has cracked his potty training finally, wee's were fine for ages but Poo's have been a nightmare!!! Well done to my big boy!!!

Nightmare (LOL!!)

Last night was one of those nights that you wish you could rub out and start again.

I have been so very tired this last week, and of course when I picked up Euan from Nursery he was so miserable that I struggled to cope with it. The kids have both got Head Lice and I am finding it really hard to get rid of them - have already threatened Lucy with a GI Jane style if I cannot get rid of them by the end of this week.

Anyway I have a naked Son and a nit creamed daughter when my lovely OH rings me from his holiday, Euan is crying, Lucy is hovering - what can you do! I manage to persuade my OH that I can sort them in 10 mins - which isnt true but I wanted to talk to him and see how he was - and I take the kids down in their PJ's - giving Euan a foam pellet gun thing to appease him for 10 mins. I know they will never last but I risk it.

OH rings back to share all his wonderful adventures but I can't think of anything to say and when I hear his voice I just want to cry coz I am tired and I miss him, so I don't say much and I can hear in his voice that he is wanting more from me and I fail miserably, anyway conversation ends. I get upset - text him back he texts me to tell me he disappointed in the way I was, no way am I going to be able to explain without seeing him face to face and everything is finally resolved with a bit of a chat!

By then Kids in pieces - Euan really upset and overtired - Lucy trying to comfort him etc etc.

Sufice to say Euan goes to sleep by himself - but not till 8.15! Lucy and I have 45 mins together so she to bed too late at 9.00 and by 9.15 I am falling asleep on the sofa having done absolutely nothing house work wise!

How can people cope with Kids and a full time job - I certainly cannot and being a single mum is a real struggle this week.

Tonight will be different, Bath at 6.45, Bed at 7.15 and Lucy to Bed at 8.30! 30 mins of TV for me and 30 mins of Ironing and then a bath and bed by 10!!

I am getting old!!

Well Mauritius really.

It has been cloudy and overcast apparently, last thing I wanted to be honest, if he is going to go and live it up enjoy himself he should get a nice tan doing it.

Wonderful Photos

My lovely camera was certainly a blessing! I didnt realise how much I missed taking photos, have always snapped with Phil's camera and it is nice but there was just something missing. So yesterday when I took the kids "scooting" in the park I decided to take along my new baby.



I made them lie in the grass, stick their heads in flower bushes - it was funny and yet the best picture was taken by my little "david bailey". He has seen Sophie using my camera and since then he just has to take it off me and snap. Well this pic of Lucy is just fab - just the sort of silly unposed picture you want!



I then dragged them around trying to find a rapeseed field to take a photo in - but it was raining and Lucy wasnt keen on getting drenched.

Been 2 days nearly and I am doing okay, was a bit sad this morning but I figure if I just sit back and try and relax and enjoy the bit of peace I am getting that it will be must nicer than being all silly and missing the pants off him - even though that is what I am doing!

Off to the Sun

Phil went off on his weeks holiday yesterday. He is in Mauritius which is why I have the clock on the right hand side of my blog - so I can see what time it is with him. It isnt that complex, they are three hours ahead!

We tried to take a nice picture of us - seems to be impossible.

Silly Birthday Pictures

Had a bit of time to mess with my camera last night when the kids went to bed. I got a camera bag to keep my bits in - my two lenses fit in there nicely and I just have to work out what to do with the charger and the battery and if I need another one.

Phil had wine and beer and was pulling some irresistible silly faces this evening.

41 Today

Shock Horror!!

Been a very quiet day so far. At work but not much going on. Went for lunch with a work colleague and both of us were very quiet so we didnt say much but did eat far too much!!

My OH is making tea tonight - which will be nice - although I do not think I will be in a position to eat a mouthful but I suppose I shouldnt tell him that - will drink some wine and see if that can persuade me to scoff more food!! WW will have to wait till Monday - sure I will have put on this week!

Lucy and Euan made me three things - a lolly stick that had "love mummy" written on it and a heart button stuck down one end. A card which had a pipe cleaner shaped into a heart and some silver stars in the middle - I had to laugh at Lucy's rhyme on the front " 41 but still my mum!"

They then gave me another card with hearts and a poem - this made me feel sad!!

and comforting too

No More Photos

On the sidebar anyway!!

It kept making my page fail to load and annoying as that is I have just had to bite the bullet and delete them.

Took my new canon camera out at the weekend and went to see Phil's parents and brother, garden pics and baby pics attached, they have a 5 week old baby boy called Sam :) Olivia couldn't wait to give him a cuddle.



I then took a few of Phil's dads garden at his request - not sure if they any good though!



Phil is off on a lovely holiday on Saturday - 7 days apart - will be longest time ever but I am hoping I can borrow the Wii Fit and put the time to good use - otherwise I know I will fall off the waggon and scoff cakes and chocolate because I will miss him . He is too far away for phone calls even so just emails and photos hopefully - will be odd but sure we will be okay. Have a trip to Sheffield while he is off and it is payday - whoopee!!

So much illness

in this house over the past few weeks. I have strep throat and Lucy has tonsillitus. We need 48 hours to ourselves but we have decided that just one day will be okay. I have a major amount of tablets to take everyday - 8 of them!!! and Lucy has a horrible yellow liquid to take.

We had lots of plans to sort things out today but I have wanted to sleep for most of the day - just not been feeling up to much to be honest!! Have to drag myself and Lucy back out again in a little while to go and get Euan from nursery.

Roll on Friday and the weekend.

Finally

Sorted my finances out, reconnected my little laptop so we can hit the lakes at the weekend and all the pennies that had founda temporary home in my OH's account have been dispersed (?) accordingly.

Lovely weekend, out Friday night for a scrummy meal, shame we only have friday nights out as to be honest by Friday I am shattered!! We went to Berkhampstead and relaxed and ate too much and then came home and crashed. I went to get the kids in the morning and they ended up staying with their dad till 11.45 so I had a bit of time to do some tidying and catch up with Great British Menu - an addiction but it is starting to get a bit repetative now!

Saturday after lunch we went to see Alex, Sophie and Charlie. They bounced on the trampoline and then played footie.







Sunday was a day of gardening, put down bark and membrane and one side of the garden actually looks like a normal persons garden finally!!

Monday we went to Kidzone in Berko, the kids really enjoyed themselves, we were pooped by then so we said our goodbyes and headed back to our respective homes about 4ish!

Another manic weekend ahead I think :)

Friday Again

Where does the week go??? I never seem to get time to write anything on here - bar from Monday maybe and Friday certainly :)

A busy weekend ahead, tonight we are out for tea - a once every 6 weeks treat - should be lovely fun! Then tomorrow I am home for the morning and then over to see Alex, Sophie and Charlie and to meet a horse called "twizzles!". Then out for tea t the beefeater.

Then lots of gardening.

Have had a terrible sore throat this week and it hasnt really gone 100% yet, have managed to spend 2 days at home grazing on rubbish and put 3lbs back on as a consequence! Must find some things I really want to do at home and at work otherwise I will be the size of a house!!!!!!

Phil picked up my birthday camera in the week and although I said I would not play with it - I couldnt resist taking a few snaps this weekend. Cameras with lenses are so much better than just a normal digital! Fab photos.

Another lovely weekend was had by all - I had most of Saturday to myself as I needed to go and get some shopping and wasnt able to do it if I went with Phil in the morning so was completely selfish for a change and went to Baldock and the massive Tescos there to do some shopping. Was good fun but still felt worn out when I got back.

We went to the Park on the Sunday - St Albans Veruliuam park (excuse spelling) and we had a great time. Based on the torrential rain today you would hardly believe it was so glorious yesterday.

I have managed to get a sore throat from somewhere - it isnt nice - but the Dr was adamant that it is just a sore throat so sent me off to gargle in salt water and take Ibuprophen - no improvement just yet though. Watch this space.

We went to see this a few weeks ago, I tried to upload the photo using my phone and for some reason it chose three weeks later to do it!! LOL Suppose at least it is done now!span>

Diet Time Again

I have decided to take the plunge. I have gradually been piling the pounds back on again and when I saw a certain figure on the scales yesterday it made me realise how awful it would be to be back at my 17st + weight that I was a couple of years ago. So I signed up for 3 months to WW online and hope that it gives me the strength to deal with my weight gain and get back off the 1 and a half stone! 13 weeks, 2lbs a week - very easy to do!!!

Lots of other nice things happened this week too.

Won a fabby 300D for my birthday on Ebay, OH very kindly getting it for me and I hope that it means I can finally get back to taking lots of great photos.

Must do some work now - whilst working out if we should really be eating tuna pasta bake for tea - not I think!!!

Back to Normal

Well my lovely 12 day long stay with OH is at an end today - funny how quickly you get used to being with someone all the time isnt it - has been really nice, kids all enjoyed it and apart from him having the lurgy for the last 2 kid free days (typically) we had a lovely time too I think!

Definitely showed me that we will all be fine come August when we move in together and it also proved to me how much I want it to be August very soon :)

Work is getting on my wick at the moment, not sure why, there are those days when you wish you could stay at home after being on holiday - but this is different - all feels a bit rubbish and I could quite happily have taken another week off after being away for 10 days.

Roll on next holiday, which I think is in May when I have a half day and then a day off to see Take That in July! Can't come soon enough.

On a positive note I am going to get a Canon Camera for my burfday, bad news is that it is in less than 5 weeks - 41! ARGH :)

A Lovely Break

from it all last week. Why do holidays go in five minutes though? The kids all had a good time, lots of park visits, Boogie Pete for the girls on Thursday and an easter egg hunt friday. Late nights, bit of TV and the odd film. Was good.

Got this lovely picture through from a friends wedding. Very nice - if only I was still that slim :) Should use it a some incentive me thinks.
